Katie West has recently joined the SEFWI team so we asked her to introduce herself.

I wanted to say a hello to everyone, I’m Katie, wife and mum of two. Jacob – age 6 and Florence who is just turning 4.

After graduating as a beautician, I spent 14 years in this career. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting new people from all different walks of life and making them feel relaxed and pampered.

Once Jacob started school, I knew I was ready to try something new for myself. I set off to college once again and enrolled on an accounting course, which lead me to my new job at the WI!

I have had a lovely warm welcoming from Gill, Tracy and Liz and it’s been a pleasure to meet lots of the trustees and WI members. Thank you having me on board, I have enjoyed working for the WI so far and I’m looking forward to meeting lots more members too.

Family life keeps me very busy, however when I do get a little time, I like to spend it outdoors walking or biking, reading or shopping and hopefully I will soon get the chance to enjoy some other WI activities too.
