Tina Finbow is a local girl who was born and bred in Ipswich, Suffolk.
Tina’s love of all things ‘craft’ was encouraged by her mum and her nanna, with her nanna teaching her knitting and crochet when she was a little girl. The love of craft has continued throughout her life, including dressmaking and sugarcraft before quilting finally entered her life in the early 2000’s after going on a chance weekend course to make a lap quilt, which then started her journey into quilting.
Tina first followed the Sugarcraft route having completed a City & Guilds in Sugarcraft and Design and taught in the Adult Education sector for West Suffolk College and Bottisham Village College. During this time she then studied for PTLLS and CTLLS education qualifications to support her teaching role.
In 2013, Tina was given an opportunity to open and manage a new Quilting/Sewing Business near to Bury St Edmunds and to support this new role she then studied for her City & Guilds Certificate and Diploma levels in Stitched Textiles (Patchwork & Quilting) which she completed in June 2017.
Tina Finbow will join the team from September 2019 and will tutor the Creative Patchwork and Quilting course at The Cosy Cabin
