I passed my driving test over fifty years ago and although I’ve driven regularly I can’t deny that road conditions have changed a lot. And don’t get me started on other road users!
Last year Jane Holland from Suffolk Highways held a workshop in Orford Street which covered areas that members may feel could affect their driving as they get older, such as health and mobility, driving on fast roads, tail gating, driving at night and a host of other topics. Those that attended reported that it was very useful and enjoyable.
We were hoping to run a similar workshop in the north of the federation but that not being possible, Jane has offered a Zoom workshop for us. She has already done this for other groups, so it’s not untested, and we are limiting it to a maximum of eight people to allow it to be interactive. If we get more applicants a further date can be fixed.
The workshop will be on Tuesday 17th November at 10:30am and cost £4. Please ring or email the office to book a place.
Jane normally hands out information folders and a Highway Code to participants. If you would like to receive these we will need your address and permission to pass it on to Jane so it can be sent to you after the workshop.
