As this trip proved so popular we are repeating it in September.
Chatham Dockyard is full of wonderful things to see and experience. The social history of those who worked there is brought to the fore and of course, the popular television drama Call the Midwife uses various areas of the dockyard for filming.
Our price will include entry to the dockyard, a one hour tour of filming areas used in the television show, entry to the Submarine Museum and a visit to the Ropery which is hugely interesting. The Midwife tour is already pre-booked and you will be advised later which other attractions will require a time slot booking only available on the day.
You can either bring a packed lunch or visit one of several cafes/restaurants on site. Undercover areas are available for those with a packed lunch so don’t worry if the weather misbehaves!
The pickup points for this trip will be Eye, Beacon Hill and Copdock Tesco.
