Working with the theme of ‘My Favourite Place’ each session will look at developing simple design skills. These designs will then be interpreted using different machine embroidery techniques each week.

• Stitch for line – programmed stitching and twin needle work
• Stitch for shape – fuse effects, applique and free motion stitching
• Stitch for colour – stitch as infill and colour blending
• Stitch for texture – couching, working with cords and cable stitch
• Stitch for layering – working with sheers and solubles
• Stitch for embellishment – slips and plaques
