A contemporary interpretation of the traditional Korean patchwork technique of Pojagi but using a sewing machine and cotton organdie fabrics.

Suitable for all levels – just straight stitching required but preferable to have experience of machine work.

  • Learn the Pojagi piecing technique and create a double-sided wall hanging ideal to hang in a window or against a plain wall. Approx size 20” x 30”
  • Learn the skills of accurately cutting fabric with a rotary cutter and ruler
  • All machine stitching – straight stitching only
  • Choice of three different designs
  • Wide choice of colours available to suit your home decor
  • All materials provided. This will include 0.5 metres of either white or black cotton organdie plus four additional coloured pieces of organdie 10” x 20”

You will need to bring:

  1. Sewing machine in good working order
  2. Extension cable
  3. Cutting mat (Mary can provide some)
  4. Rotary Cutter (Mary can provide some)
  5. Ruler to use with a rotary cutter (if you have a 6” or 6 ½” square ruler it would be useful but not essential)
  6. Machine threads in white, grey and black. These can be cotton or polyester
  7. Usual sewing kit – small scissors, pins

  • Telephone bookings can be taken, but must be followed up with email or booking form confirmation.
  • Once a booking is accepted, full payment must be made, either by BACS (preferred) or by sending a cheque. Card payments can be taken over the phone so long as you have card authorisation via your smart phone.
  • Should you have to cancel your booking, a refund will only be given if your place is taken by another member.
  • Should SEFWI have to cancel an event for which you are booked, a full refund will be made.
