The theme for the 2021 calendar is “Suffolk on the move” and members submitted some great photos. Your secretary will have had a sample calendar and order form for both the calendars and diaries. However, if it is easier for you to purchase directly from our SEFWI office, please email email@example.com or telephone 01473 251632 for further details. Calendars are priced at £4.50 each and diaries are priced at £5.10.
The Creative Stitchers have been unable to hold their usual display of work this year, so instead they have been – well, creative – and made a series of videos to showcase what they have been doing. You can find the links to the videos here.
Many events have had to be cancelled but we are still planning for when we can get together again. Please book for advertised events confident that there will be no financial commitment until things are certain. This will help ensure that there are things to look forward to at the end of the tunnel.
The trip to South Yorkshire and Hull has been postponed to July 2021.
MyWI, the members only website, has lots to read and plenty of ideas for things to do, including plans for a virtual summer celebration on June 27th. You can find MyWI here.
If you haven’t logged in to MyWI before you will need to register. It’s a fairly straightforward process, so long as your email is on the MCS system. If it’s not, either contact your WI MCS rep to add it or contact Gill Denny (firstname.lastname@example.org) to do so.
Many of the excellent Denman tutors are offering online courses via Zoom. These include a virtual guided walk around London, needle-felting, a ukulele singalong and various cookery workshops. Courses cost £5 and you can see the full list of courses, and book, here.
There was a lot to see and do at the Centenary Fair and it was well worth staying to the end to hear the choir. Hardly news anymore but nice to remember when we could get together.
