We are from the original ‘Akenfield’ villages and continue to have strong ties with the
surrounding countryside and its people. We are small but perfectly formed, our W I
represents two small village communities of about 400 people in total, meeting in both
village halls. We are friendly and welcoming, we have particularly good and usually
home made refreshments and we have a tradition of presenting posies to people for
their birthdays. Our neighbours and our menfolk are occasionally invited to come and
join us at our open meetings.
